Come take a walk in my garden,
The gate is open wide.
You'll be amazed by all
the lovely flowers to see inside.
The cold weather is gone,
Spring is really here
The Birds are singing Joyfully,
Listen and you will hear
The goldfinch sings so happily
And the meadow Lark joins in too,
The morning Doves are cooing
A special welcome just for you
See the Blue Jays splashing Merrily
As they bathe out in the sun.
A Cardinal sits on the glazing ball
Watching all the fun.
There are Tulips of every color,
Crocus, Hyacinths and daffodils
Wild Geraniums, Irises and Bluebells
Just to name a few.
Follow the path of stepping stones
Out to the garden bench
Where a carpet of violets and myrtle grow
Up against the fence
Bring a garden basket when you come
I'll pick you a bright bouquet
And be sure to come again
When summer flowers make their own display.
